Non-mountaineers usually dare hiking Luzon's highest peak (Mt. Pulag) just to see and experience the breathtaking sunrise as it shows up from the horizon of "sea of clouds." The long winding slope going to the summit of Mt. Pulag plus the extreme cold temperature is no joke.
Call time for tomorrows final assault to the summit is at 3:30 in the morning and the estimated trekking time is one hour and thirty minutes. Take note, the trail going to the summit is not just "walk in the park" but it is really steep. I only have few hours of sleep and I can still feel the alcohol in my system from the last night's "socials." This does not worry me...I am more worried of the extreme cold temperature plus wind chills. I really have low tolerance of cold temperature.
Before going out from my tent, I made sure that my body is well wrapped. For my upper body I wear 3 shirts plus to jacket and for the lower part, I had two shorts plus one trekking pants. I also brought with me a sarong and a headware to cover my face particularly my ears.
At 5:00 we were already in the summit and there were already huge crowd there waiting for the sunrise. We were just there sitting in one line waiting patiently for the sun to come out from the horizon.
These colors just painted the sky until the sun crosses the horizon, and while it rose from the "burning horizon of sea of clouds", the colors faded and turned into a blue. At this very moment, I gazed in awe at a beautiful masterpiece and a lovely scenery.
My journey to the peak of Mt. Pulag is really worth it plus I met awesome people (Sir H, Duke, Bong, Mel, Rob, Jessie, BJ, Apple and Mich) who made this dream climb into reality.

16 What is your take?:
Pumunta kami dito kamakailan lang, at masasabi ko na ang sunrise sa mt. pulag ang isa sa mga pinaka magandang spectacle na nakita ko sa tanang buhay ko. And i believe you would agree with me :)
@Rah: i could not agree more. the best sunrise talaga sa peak ng mt. pulag

Thus the experience said it all for non-mountaineers and like me, it is a dream to be there. I wanna get fit to climb up. I just love the narratives and the photos, perfect!
